DARREN CHEN

President

​Darren is a fourth year Human Resources student who is passionate about people and development. He wants to create organizational change from within to address contemporary workplace concerns such as a toxic culture.
As a lover of analytics and digitization, he is looking to leverage those skills in creating sustainable change. In terms of hobbies, Darren is an avid volleyballer with a voracious appetite for fantasy fiction books.  He hopes to be able to meet in person soon and network with all aspiring HR professionals of the future.

Vice President

Mavis is passionate about helping individuals reach their full potential and purpose through training and development. She strives to make positive and meaningful contributions in the workplace through health and safety, labour relations, and HR analytics. Outside of work and school, you will find Mavis playing golf, working out, or gaming with her friends.

DANIEL CASTRO SANTOS

Vice President of Events

Daniel was led to HR because of his passion in caring about people and their professional happiness. He has 10 years of experience in the Hotel industry in Brazil and USA, and is currently the CPHR BC Student Ambassador for KPU. He is easy going and has an extrovert personality. He enjoys playing with his kids and experiencing breweries! 

ANUJA NARWAL

Vice President of Industry Relations

Anuja opted for HR as she loves interacting and helping people around her. She is always open to new challenges and has a great passion to dig deep into her knowledge about the HR field. She possesses around 9 years of professional experience in HR primarily focused on Talent Acquisition across the globe. She is an adventurous person, loves traveling and exploring new places. She enjoys photography too.

Manveer is a third-year HR student. The reason Manveer decided to choose HR as his major is because he wants to learn skills and strategies to assist the development of an organization. He is also working part-time. Besides work and studies, he loves to go hikes and watch/play football (not American football). His favourite football team is Chelsea. ​​

Thereysa is a fourth year student at KPU, majoring in Human Resources Management with a minor in Counselling. She loves to get to know people and to learn new things. Thereysa enjoys her two cats, drawing, reading, but also loves the outdoors, rock climbing and above all else, travelling around the world.

Jayne is in her first year at KPU but she has already received a certificate in HR from BCIT.  She decided to join KPU's HRMT program to gain more knowledge and experience before entering the workforce. Jayne likes food and likes to try new things. She loves watching Korean dramas and reading books in her free time.
